Despite temperatures in the 20s that felt like in the teens, hundreds of people welcomed in the Christmas season in Clinton and Waterville last week with a variety of events.
Waterville had its 30th annual Parade of Lights Friday night. After the parade kids lined up at the Waterville firehouse to tell Santa and Mrs. Claus their holiday wishes.
Adults spent time at the Waterville Historical Society art show and at the Waterville Baptist Church singing Christmas songs.
Clinton’s two-day Shoppers’ Stroll organized by the Clinton Chamber of Commerce also featured an evening parade Friday. Stores during the two days were full of people shopping locally, especially on Saturday when temperatures in the 30s and sunshine seemed like a heat wave.
Santa made stops at NBT Bank and the Gazebo. Adults and kids enjoyed horse-drawn carriage rides around the village.
