Cautioning that it was a first draft and preliminary, Brookfield Central School Superintendent Jim Plows gave board members the early version of the 2019-20 budget.
At last week’s BCS Board of Education meeting, Plows said at this point there was a huge increase of $400,000 in appropriations for next year. Most of that, about $300,000, he said, is in the program portion of the budget for new placements for students out of the district.
