A ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 9, 10 a.m., to rededicate the Clinton Soccer Alumni Memorial Garden.
The Garden, underneath the soccer scoreboard, is dedicated to those fallen Clinton Soccer Warriors who have passed on.
In 2010 this garden was started for four former players who died way too early; each had a tree and a memorial marker placed in a prominent spot. Two more markers were added for players in the next few years.
This year saw four more Warriors pass on. Donations were sought and volunteer help was provided to honor these next four players.
Families have been appreciative as their greatest concern was that their loved one will be forgotten.
Former CCS boys soccer coach Gil Palladino said the ceremony is open to the public. A work group cleaned up the garden to lay the four new markers in anticipation of the ceremony.
