Augusta Considers Reval

The Town of Augusta will have a Highway Department fleet inventory conducted by Mohawk Valley Edge.

According to the Town’s November minutes, the board approved the move, which will be conducted free of charge.

Supervisor Suzanne Collins gave an update on the municipal building roof.

There is no resolution on how to preserve and repair it. Collins said the Town signed the snow and ice removal contract with Oneida County.

The Town can give 30 days notice if it believes the contract

is not working out.

Collins updated the Board on the $51,000 revenue shortage.

A $29,000 PILOT payment should instead be made for 2025, and $22,000 in CHiPs money was not approved.

David Barnett gave a presentation on his company, GAR, conducting a reassessment.

No decision was made by the Board on whether to do a reval of property values.

At an earlier November meeting, Daniel Brogan and Peter Wilcox were appointed to fill vacancies on the Zoning Board of Appeals.
