Capital Project Passes At BCS

Brookfield Central School District residents supported the revised Capital Project in a vote last week.

The 105 to 37 vote supports a $2.4 million project that will include a number of renovations and upgrades to the school.

A vote last fall for a larger version of the project, which included adding a lift to the bus garage, was defeated.

BCS Board of Education members chose to bring back a scaled-down version for a second vote.

The project will need approval from the State Education Department before bids can go out and work will begin.
