CCS Boys Hockey Shut Out Twice

The Clinton boys varsity hockey team lost a tough contest against New Hartford 3-2.

The Spartans scored the winning goal with 1:42 remaining in the game with a steal and breakaway score for the win.

It was a defensive game through the first period as both teams found the penalty box numerous times but not the back of the net as the score was tied at zero after one frame.

Kole Davignon and Carter Hinderling each added goals for Clinton in the second period to keep pace with New Hartford as the Warriors’ and Spartans’ defenses finally broke under the offensive pressure.

Clinton lost against RFA on Saturday 3-0. Goalie Danny Frank had 29 saves.

Clinton opened the season with a 4-0 loss at Whitesboro. Frank stopped 17 shots on goal.
