The Clinton Central School District celebrated its 2023 Commencement Saturday morning.
The 2023 Graduates of Clinton Central School and Administration marched through the auditorium for the Processional to begin the ceremony.
CCS High School Principal Dr. Matthew Lee introduced graduate Matthew Steates as the official Flag Bearer for the National Anthem. Steates is enlisting in the United States Coast Guard.
Lee thanked Mrs. Jenna Wratten with the CCS High School Symphonic Band.
Lee then welcomed the full crowd in attendance and thanked the Administrative Team and Staff for helping students achieve graduation. Lee asked the Senior Class to stand and applaud their parents for their sacrifice and hard work in helping them reach such a major step in fulfilling their potential.
CCS Board member Erica Shaw spoke to the Class of 2023 to congratulate them on behalf of the Board. Shaw spoke on how this class, like others before and after them, was affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic at a crucial point in their education.
