The nursery school program at Clinton United Methodist Church will be closing its doors at the end of the current school year.
Established in 1968, the program has been a cornerstone of early childhood education in the community, serving hundreds of children and families with a focus on providing a caring, faith-based environment for three- and four-year-old children.
A sustained decline in enrollment was cited as the primary factor for the decision to end the nursery school program.
“This has been an incredibly difficult decision for all of us,” said Mary Burdick, Nursery School Director.
“For more than 50 years, our school has been a place where children have taken their first steps in learning, faith, and friendship.
“We are deeply grateful to our dedicated staff, the families who entrusted us with their children, and the many students who have passed through our doors,” Burdick said.
