The 17th annual Remembrance Day to honor the victims of Sept. 11, 2001 attacks will take place in West Winfield this evening.
The Freedom Walk begins at 6 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Church of the Worker in West Winfield. People will walk to the West Winfield Fire Hall for the ceremony.
Speakers include students from the Mount Markham High School Speech and Debate Club, plus other dignitaries and students.
The event falls on the 23rd anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the United States.
The program is sponsored by the West Winfield VFW and American Legion Post.
