The Clinton varsity field hockey team will be playing a ‘Sticking Together’ game for CCS graduate Meral Dahlin. Dahlin, a teacher in the Waterville Central School District, has been undergoing treatments for cancer this year. She and her husband, also a Clinton graduate, live in Clinton with their two children. The 4:30 p.m. game vs. Mount Markham will be a fund raiser for the Dahlin family and a way to raise awareness of cancer. Waterville Central School athletics are assisting with donation jars at games Oct. 3 and 4. On Oct. 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brothertown Stadium there is a Powder Puff flag football game for High School girls organized by Erin Glazier, the Waterville head cheerleading coach. Any donation will be accepted for entrance. Proceeds will be donated to two causes: Dahlin’s fight against soft tissue sarcoma breast cancer research.
