The Kirkland Art Center will host the 44th KAC Run & Walk Saturday, June 3.
The 5K event will start at 8:30 a.m. on Elm Street, and the kids 1-mile race starts at 9:30 a.m. There will also be fun runs for children at Clinton school.
The USTAF-certified 5K run has been known as a good warm-up for Boilermaker runners, organizers said, and the 1-mile run is a popular event for children under 14 years of age. With a limited number of participants, all runners and walkers are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible.
Registration is available at https://runsignup.com/Race/NY/Clinton/KACRunandWalk and from 7 to 8:15 a.m. under the tent in the Clinton High School Elm Street parking area on the day of the race.
The KAC Run & Walk is the oldest community event for the Art Center and is the largest fundraiser of the year for the organization. It has drawn hundreds of people of all ages on the first Saturday in June every year except 2020 for 44 years.
A volunteer committee organizes the race, and the event benefits from major sponsorships by local businesses. Support from the Town of Kirkland, the Village of Clinton, and Department of Transportation allows the Art Center to offer a safe and enjoyable experience for all the family.
