The Henderson/General Nicholas Herkimer Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution recognized five seniors from local schools: Joshua Grabowski(West Canada Valley), Joshua Leskovar (Herkimer), Kalen Barnhart (Richfield Springs), Jonathan Schlaepfer (Mount Markham) and Trinity Darling (Owen D. Young) at the Herkimer Historical Society. These students were chosen by their teachers and peers as they possess the qualities of a good citizen: dependability, service, leadership and patriotism.
