Halloween Times Set

The Village of West Winfield Board met Monday evening to discuss new business.


The Board approved a resolution authorizing the payment of the General Voucher for $61,240.73 and the payment of the Water Voucher for $4,622.47.


The Board approved a resolution approving the September 2024 minutes.


The Board approved a resolution authorizing the Treasurer's Report.


The Board approved a resolution approving Halloween Trick-or-Treating Thursday, Oct. 31 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.


The Board held a discussion about setting a curfew.


The Board did not set a curfew because there haven't been any known issues the past few years.


The Board approved a resolution approving a Water Bill reduction request for 378 West Main St. due to a water leak.


The bill was reduced to $242.18.


Dan Barletta completed the Lead Line Service Survey and submitted it to the State. Notices for types of water lines will be distributed.


Village Hydrants will be flushed Thursday, Nov. 24.


Cement pads for the Village Green benches will be finished being installed next week.


Codes Officer Mike Connors said one permit was reissued.


Connors said Delaware River Solar called him saying they had changed their intent to build a solar farm from the Village to the Town of Winfield.


West Winfield Fire Department Chief Al Moxham reported 48 EMS calls and nine fire calls, with only one call where there wasn't a crew available.
