March Musicals Debut

After months of rehearsals, local high school music students will provide entertainment with their annual musicals.


Waterville High School opens the musical season with ‘Legally Blonde’ with performances Thursday, Feb. 27 and Friday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m., and a 3 p.m. matinee show Saturday, March 1 at the High School.


Tickets are on sale and can be purchased at watervillecsd.seatyourself.biz.


The plot centers on a college student who attends Harvard Law School to prove to her boyfriend she can be serious. She learns to fend for herself and show others not to judge on looks.


Clinton students will follow next week with ‘The Drowsy Chaperone’ performed Thursday, March 6, Friday, March 7, and Saturday, March 8. Curtain for all three shows at the Performing Arts Theater are at 7 p.m.


It’s a time-hop musical set in both the 1990s and 1920s with a fun look at musicals.


Brookfield Central School will perform ‘High School Musical Jr.’ Friday, March 7 and Saturday, March 8.


Friday’s show is at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday’s starts at 4 p.m. at the school.


This Disney show takes a look at stereotypes in high school and how all can come together in doing a musical.


Madison Central School students will also perform ‘High School Musical Jr.’ with shows Friday, April 11 and Saturday, April 12, both shows at 7 p.m.
