Meeting Will Outline Clinton DOT Project

An $8 million street renovation project begins in Clinton this spring that will upgrade a number of features.

The state Department of Transportation work will take two years and include repaving the road from College Hill to the LutheranCare facility, sewer replacement and sidewalk replacement.

Twenty-five dead trees along the route will also be removed. Work will require major traffic adjustments, including one-lane and full road closure

at times.

The project will go this year until late November and resume next spring until summer 2026.

Residents and commuters can learn about what to expect and how to receive the latest information on detours and access at a meeting this week.

The DOT will review the work and schedule and answer questions Thursday, March 6, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Kirkland Town Hall.

The full story is in this week's edition of the newspaper.
