Memorial Bench Honors Longtime CCS Employee


A man who dedicated nearly 20 years of service to the Clinton Central School District was honored recently.


Bryan Hill, a longtime CCS employee and a former print press manager at Hamilton College, was remembered for his dedication to the district at the unveiling of a memorial bench and Forest Pansy tree at the Middle School.


Hill grew up in Clark Mills with five siblings and went to high school in Oriskany Falls. After school, he moved to Clinton and started working in the area.


Hill passed away in August 2019. Hill’s son, Jason T. Hill, worked with CCS to install the bench and tree to remember his father.


Jason and the school collected generous donations from family, friends and co-workers for the memorial.


The CCS Board of Education spoke of the memorial bench and tree. According to the CCS website, “We look forward to the installation of this tree and bench overlooking the courtyard near where Bryan cared for our school, students, and staff.”


Jason said everyone who met his father said “he was just the kindest, nicest person, always willing to help. It was important to have something to remember him by, something physical on the school property.”
