The Mount Markham Board of Education met Tuesday night to discuss new business.
MMCSD Athletic Director Phil Keida presented a fall sports recap to the board.
The Girls varsity soccer team finished 9-8 with three All-Stars and three Honorable Mentions.
Keida said about the boys varsity soccer tam season, "They had a new coach and unknown expectations.
“They went from 1-15 the previous season to 11-5 this season. Syracuse.com named MM a turnaround team. Three students were named all-stars.’’
The Boys modified soccer team had 16 players compete to 6-6 record.
The Cheerleading Squad finished first in one of three competitions this season and achieved a third-place result at Sectionals with 14 girls competing for MM Cheerleading.
The varsity field hockey team earned a 10-7 record and No. 2 seed in sectionals. Keida said it was a "tough league to play in."
MM lost in the sectional championship game in double overtime.
Keida said MM is hoping to continue combining programs with Cooperstown.
Three players were named All-Stars, and three players were named Honorable Mention.
Keida said the modified field hockey team, "had only 10 players but lots of progress. They continued their tradition of donating comfort bags for patients.’’
The boys cross country team and the girls cross country team each finished third with only three runners each.
Keida said over 60 teams participated at the Sectional Championships hosted by MM and MMCSD was asked to host again next year.
