The Mustangs fell behind two sets to none to Beaver River.
In winning sets three and four, Mount Markham didn’t lead until the final points were played.
In the tiebreaker, the Mustangs again looked at elimination as the Beavers jumped out to an 8-1 start with the winner needing 15 points to claim the title.
But once again, the Mustangs dug deep and tied the game—not once, not twice, not three times, but four times—before Beaver River won 19-17.
For the second year in a row, Mount Markham’s season ended in the title game vs. Beaver River.
But it came after an epic battle that saw both teams pushing to their best ability.
