The Tucker Fund will help with repairs to Douglass Park in Oriskany Falls.
At the December meeting for the Oriskany Falls Village Board, it was reported the George Tucker Fund is sponsoring the refinishing of the fountain statue in the amount of $4,800.
This is part of the Main Street Grant with Oneida County.
The Board approved a quote of $50,000 for the fountain restoration from D’Amore Masonry and Lupini Construction.
Other work will include having the sidewalk removed/replaced and a new sidewalk added, plus installing decorative lights.
All of that work will be paid for through grants. D’Amore was also approved for that work with a quote of $16,800.
Earlier in the year, the grant paid for refurbishing the basketball court at the park.
Board members approved Abigail Dapson and David Petrie for the Oriskany Falls Volunteer Fire Department.
Amber Bell and Susan Collins were approved for five-year terms for the Clark Memorial Library Board of Trustees.
The Board agreed to advertise for accounting services for the next three years and for the collection and disposal of garbage, recycling and trash.
As of the meeting, payment had not been received for the Maple Avenue vandalism incident.
The Madison County Probation Department has stated that the three parties involved in the destruction of the door to the pavilion will be financially responsible and will be sharing the cost of $620.
