Obama Speaks At Hamilton College

On Thursday, April 3, former United States President Barack Obama joined the esteemed list of the Sacerdote Great Names Series at Hamilton College.


Very few people in history could overshadow past guests, however President Obama unintentionally makes discussions with Aretha Franklin, Jimmy Carter, and Neil Degrasse Tyson almost trivial in comparison.


Hamilton College President Steven Tepper welcomed President Obama to the stage 5,917 days after the inauguration of the first African-American President for an enlightening conversation about Obama's life, the current state of

America, and his perspective of expectations for the future.


Tepper set the tone early with some humor, allowing the 44th President to showcase his own sense of humor and calculated self-deprecation that endeared him to generations of Americans.


The President thanked the Hamilton College community and Hamilton College Student Government Alliance President Anna Gnapp for her introduction before the President discussed some of the recent work he's done with Obama Foundation.


Fans of Obama were pleased to learn he's currently working on the second half of his presidential memoirs.
