The Otsego County Department of Health, in partnership with the Bassett Healthcare Network, is launching the development of the 2025–2030 Community Health Needs Assessment.
They are seeking valuable input from residents, businesses, and organizations across Otsego County to help shape future health initiatives and improve the overall well- being of our communities.
The CHNA is a comprehensive survey and analysis designed to identify the most pressing health needs facing our community.
It serves as a roadmap for health departments, healthcare providers, and community organizations to allocate resources effectively, prioritize programs, and develop strategies that target the specific health challenges of Otsego County.
Community input is essential in creating a health plan that reflects the real needs of Otsego County residents.
By participating in surveys, focus groups, or public forums, individuals have the opportunity to share their concerns, experiences, and suggestions on issues such as access to healthcare, mental health resources, chronic disease prevention, nutrition, physical activity, and more.
"Community involvement is the cornerstone of effective public health planning," said Heidi Bond, Public Health Director at the Otsego County Department of Health.
"We need to hear directly from the people who live and work here to ensure that our strategies and services meet their needs."
Community members can provide feedback in several ways:
*Completing a survey at https://arcg.is/CuH5W
*Calling the Otsego County Department of Health at 607- 547-4230 to have a paper copy mailed to you
Assistance filling the survey out can also be requested by call the Otsego County Department of Health.
Deadline for Feedback: April 16.
All responses will remain confidential and will be used solely to inform the development of the CHNA and guide local health initiatives from 2025 to 2030.
