Pump House Needed Repairs

The Town of Bridgewater Board met Thursday night to discuss new business.


The Board approved a resolution accepting the June meeting minutes.


Jerry Parry reported, "There was a problem with the pump house last month.


There's an increased electric bill because we had to run the small pump 24/7.


“I called NYSEG and they said some fuses had blown in the pump house from some kicked breakers. I had to reset everything to get it going," he said.


Town of Bridgewater Supervisor Dale DeKing said she advised the Water Department to purchase a new pump for $3,000 in case the current pump breaks down again.


Patricia Terns reported the Town computers had to have the State connect to the system to update for next year's processing.


Bridgwater Fire Chief Bill DeKing said the department answered 27 calls for June with 21 EMS calls, five Fires, and three MVAs.


DeKing said the truck pulls were a success.


The Board approved a resolution to purchase a 2024 Mack from Utica Mack.


Boardmember Tom Meininger said he took some photos of the insulation in the Town Hall ceiling and led a discussion about problem spots in need of insulation in the Town Hall.
