Roses Award

Deidra Purdy with the Oriskany Falls Rotary Club hands Sonya Furness a bouquet as she talks about why Furness was chosen for this year’s Roses for the Living Award. Furness, through her role as Town of Augusta clerk, heads up a number of services the town provides, and is the go-to person for Augusta. She has done a lot of the decorating to the town’s new building in Knoxboro, where the ceremony was that included Furness’s family, with grandson Ryan and her three other grandkids. The Rotary Club will have its 57th annual Great Cassety Hollow Classic Golf Tournament at Barker Brook July 21.
