Setbacks Set On Solar Projects

The Village of West Winfield Board met Monday night to discuss new business.


The Board approved a resolution authorizing the payment of the General Voucher for $78,506 and the Water Voucher for $3,589.


The Board approved a resolution approving the August meeting minutes.


The Board approved a resolution accepting the Treasurer's report.


Village Clerk Scott Van Duren presented a resolution for approval for the Sept. 11 ceremony and parade.


The Board approved the resolution.


The Board held a discussion about the West Winfield Library's request to install a ceiling outlet for use with a projector system.


The Board supported the request for installation.


Dan Barletta is performing lead inspections and has found some water meters in need of replacement.


A leak was discovered at the old tavern.


West Winfield Fire Chief Al Moxham reported the Fire Department answered 59 calls for August with five fires, one alarm, one tree down, and one MVA.


The other 42 EMS calls were also answered.


Boardmember Jim Murphy said contractors surveyed the Firehouse to determine the insulation installation and suggested spraying foam on the outside of the building ...
