
The Clinton Central School Board of Education met Thursday evening to discuss new business.
Before the meeting, the crowd was entertained with a selection of songs by a string quartet featuring students and Orchestra Director Giovanni Maganoli.
CCSD Superintendent Christopher Clancy began the meeting by recognizing and congratulating the CCS varsity field hockey team for their State semifinal season.
CCS Athletic Director Bob Bentley spoke about the team’s on-field success as well as their 97.88 team GPA.
He spent a few moments mentioning some of the community outreach initiatives the team participated in.
Bentley presented the NYSPHSAA Trophy the team received as a State finalist. Clancy and Bentley unveiled a banner from the NYS Field Hockey Officials awarding CCS the Sportsmanship Award.
Interim High School Principal Matthew Reilly gave an update to the board about the high school.
The theme of Reilly's presentation focused on Culture, Coordination, Consistency, and Challenge.
Reilly reviewed the Class of 2024 graduation percentages.
