Village Elections See Low Turnout

A low turnout for uncontested races marked last week’s elections in local villages.


In Clinton, Mayor Elizabeth Tantillo was re-elected with 58 votes.


Trustees Richard Fuller and Joanne Gilles with 56 and 62 votes, respectively.


In Waterville, Mayor Gene Ostrander won re-election with 34 votes.


Trustees Larry Stern and Amanda Briggs were re-elected with 38 and 37 votes, respectively.


In Oriskany Falls, Colin Idzi will take over as mayor as of April 1.


He was unopposed with 17 votes.


Trustees Brian Bell and Gerald Pedersen received 20 and 19 votes, respectively.
