Winfield Addresses Condition Of Park

The Town of Winfield Board met Wednesday evening to discuss new business.


The Board approved a resolution approving the General and Highway abstracts.


The Board approved a resolution accepting the Supervisor's report and the Clerk's report.


The Board approved a resolution accepting the May meeting minutes as corrected.


Resident Dave Boss asked the Board to be approved as a volunteer worker in the Town Park.


Superintendent of Highways Paul Jones said he would trust Boss with a key to the park for maintenance.


The Board approved Boss' request.


Town of Winfield Supervisor William Miller said the Town Building had some internet issues that are now resolved.


Town Clerk Terri Atwell said the meeting minutes are posted on the Town website.


Jones said the Highway Department is, "Farther ahead this year than we've ever been. Mowing, salt's been brought in. Doing good."


The Board held a discussion about public complaints at the Memorial Day celebration and condition of the Town Park.

Boardmember Bob Royce said, "One more thing about park. There is a flag set up down there for the soccer players, but I don't think we should allow it to stay there when they're not playing."


Two permits were issued for pools.


There is one application for a garage addition.


The new convenience store has been inspected with contractors.
