Winfield Adopts New Solar Law

The Town of Winfield Board met Wednesday night to discuss new business.


Chris Baiamonte discussed changes to Town's Solar Law.


SEQR forms were sent to the board for approval.


A local law filing form will be sent to the State.


A confirmation sheet of the proposed amendment was sent to Herkimer County and no comments were received.


The law was sent to neighboring jurisdictions as required, with no comments from entities legally required to be contacted.


The documents and SEQR requirements were reviewed. The Board approved a resolution to adopt the Solar Law as Local Law #1 of 2025.


The Board approved a resolution to accept the Special Use Permit application.

The Board resolution approving the General Abstract and Highway Abstract.


The Board approved a resolution accepting the supervisor's report and the clerk's report.


The Board approved a resolution accepting the January meeting minutes with corrections.


Boardmember Sue Korosec said she'd like to add a term chart to the organizational meeting for Boardmembers to keep track of their remaining terms.


Town of Winfield Supervisor Bill Miller said the final payment from Precisionmatics will be in 2027, and they'll be removed from the PILOT program.
