Winfield Considers Grants

The Town of Winfield Board met Wednesday night to discuss new business.


The Board approved a resolution accepting the General and Highway abstracts.


The Board approved a resolution accepting the Supervisor's and Clerk's reports.


The Board approved a resolution accepting the September meeting minutes.


Town of Winfield Supervisor reported the Matteson Hotel is doing a collection for Hurricane relief and is appreciative of the Town for donating relief to the South.


Miller distributed a preliminary 2025 Budget to the Board for review and is asking the Board for notes and suggestions.


Town Clerk Terri Atwell reported 119 loads were brought in for Trash Day and she ordered envelopes for tax season.


Atwell was given information that a permit would save about 50 cents per stamp for taxes and was contacting the County to check whether the Town currently held the permit.


The Board approved a resolution to obtain a permit for the stamp savings.


Highway Superintendent Paul Jones reported the Board needed to discuss a contract for the new truck for the Highway Department.


The Board held a discussion about attorney review for a previous truck purchase and a notice of intent to purchase a new truck from a few years ago.
