Winfield Hearing Set For January

The Town of Winfield Board met Monday night to discuss new business.


The Board approved a resolution authorizing the payment of the General and Highway Abstracts.


The Board approved a resolution accepting the supervisor's and clerk's reports.


The Board approved a resolution accepting the November meeting minutes.


Town of Winfield Supervisor Bill Miller said the Herkimer County Municipal Corporation Agreement Assessing Services annual renewal cost is $12 per completed parcel on the final assessment roll.


The Board approved a resolution accepting the agreement renewal.


The Board approved a resolution allowing an engineering firm to review a building permit application.


The Board held a discussion with Chris Baiamonte about hiring engineering firm Barton & Loguidice to review the Solar Law and application.


The Board approved a resolution accepting the agreement with Barton and Loguidice.


Boardmember Sue Korosic moved the Solar Law forward for the public hearing scheduled for the January Board meeting.


Miller said he received a letter from the County about the violations at the Herkimer County Humane Society.


The Board approved a resolution appointing Alicia Jones as the Town Dog Control Officer.


The Board held a short discussion about a handicap bathroom in the Town Park. The bathroom needs new doors, a sink, support bars, and a handicap accessible toilet.


Boardmember Mike Peo said, "I've gotten some complaints about the intersection on North Winfield Road not being plowed."
