The Town of Winfield Board met Wednesday evening to discuss new business.
The Board approved a resolution to approve the General Fund Claims and the Highway Fund Claims.
The Board approved a resolution to accept the Supervisor's and Town Clerk's Reports. The Board approved a resolution accepting the July 12 Board meeting minutes.
The Board held a discussion about out-of-state Insurance for Fire Companies to draw 2% and the $19,560.79 in money received to the Fire Company. Town of Winfield Supervisor Budd Osborn asked why the Town received the amount when he expected nothing.
The Town gets a 2% premium cost refund for insurance written outside New York state for Fire Coverage.
A $200 check for assessment review was given back to Board with a "Thanks."
Osborn said a Tentative Budget meeting would need to be scheduled as the Tentative Budget was nearly complete. The Board held a discussion about timeline requirements for approval.
Trash day is scheduled for Sept. 30 from 8 to 11 a.m.
Highway Superintendent Paul Jones said the Highway Department is starting to receive sand and salt for Winter.
Parks Commissioner Bob Royce said revisions to the play area in the Winfield Memorial Park have been made following an injury in a climbing area.
